My personal trainer, Mr. Itaru Baba, began teaching me about kaizen in Feb., 1988 at the Tsutsumi Plant. That included filling out the suggestion form. This was one of my efforts. The idea was to put a rubber hose in each kanban box so that they were easier to retrieve wearing gloves. At the lower right you can see I was paid 500 yen, about $4.
